Fretonomy - Learn Fretboard
Fretonomy is a free educational game for iPhone that helps you learn the notes and chords on the fretboard of various stringed instruments. With 9 different instruments available, including guitar, bass, and mandolin, you can pick your favorite and start practicing. There are 21 games and tools to choose from, each designed to help you master the fretboard and improve your skills.
Customize your experience by selecting which section of the fretboard you want to practice on. You can practice the first frets, a section in the middle, or the entire fretboard. The Name Chord game allows you to learn and master all kinds of chord patterns on the guitar. You can choose which chords you want to practice on any section of the fretboard and go at your own pace.
The Staff game teaches you how to quickly read notes on a staff, while the Scale Explorer game lets you explore scales on the fretboard of your instrument. You can also create your own songs on the fly and learn how to play them right away using the Chord Progression generator tool. Fretonomy tracks your progress with statistics, and you can share your progress with your friends. Left-handed mode is available, and the app supports various note notations such as Solfege, Number, and German.
